Our cakes are baked from easy to follow recipes. You don’t need to be a baker or have any trade qualifications, its so straightforward any one can learn to bake our fabulous range of cheesecakes, tortes and mudcakes.
As our customers typically spend more than $20 at a time, we have fewer transactions than other retail food outlets. Combined with our efficient baking system, this means some of our stores can be run by the franchisee working with as few as just 2 or 3 full time staff. How easy is that!

The Cheesecake Shop was founded by brothers Warwick and Robert Konopacki in 1991. From humble beginnings in the back blocks of Sydney’s inner western suburb of Rozelle, the brothers Konopacki baked delicious cakes fashioned from’ Mamuska’, their Polish mother’s, traditional recipes. Robert had entrepreneurial flair and experience in food while Warwick, a clinical psychologist by trade, documented recipes and procedures. In 1993 the first of 200 franchised stores opened in Baulkham Hills.
